Then after a series of quest you will get to the tower. And the treasure is on the top floor

To use it you need to have Enchanting Vellum, on use you get random buff, on my first use I got The Necronom-i-nom for 10 mins and it made some of my jumps much stronger!Comment by defenderott
i'm going out on a limb and say this about this toyit might be a reference to the bombonom-i-con from tf2
my reasoning for this several
1 it casts random spells from the book the bombonomicon does the same thing in both merasmus and the players hands
2 you find pages for the book same with tf2s book you find spell pages from it
now if the book speaks to you then it is a tf2 reference
or book of the dead reference (idk about the series the book of the dead is from what is the series is the book of the dead from anyway?)

I looted the book where you obtain the toy from, and while reading the description the book disappeared with the loot. I waited around 5 minutes but it did not respawn. Be sure to loot first and read later!Comment by Odin289
Known buffs from combining an Enchanting Vellum with the toy.- 'You feel that the words are going to jump off the pages..' - Super jump straight up and down. Fall damage is applied.
- 'You feel as small as the words on the pages of the book..' - Shrunk to miniature size. Other players cause trample damage.
- 'You feel as old as the pages of the book..' - Changes your appearance to decaying Shadowlands skeleton.
Will try to add other buffs as they are discovered.

Since we all can't really fly you can quite make good use of Goblin Glider Kit Goblin Glider Kit when you have the buff 'You feel that the words are going to jump off the pages..' since you can jump really high then!Also what i found out now is that the
'You feel as old as the pages of the book..' - Changes your appearance to decaying Shadowlands skeleton.'buff'
ALSO lets you breath underwater!

My god the instructions here are terrible..Basically start the questline Read Between the Lines You'll get to the second to last quest in the questline: Archival Protection. For this quest you'll have to kill The Archivist
The toy is simply on the bookshelf when you get to the floor where you get this quest and kill this npc. That's it, simple.
And no it's not the top floor as everyone is saying because there's another floor after this one (that you get to by jumping).
If you didn't get the toy doing the questline you can go in the tower again and all the traps will be gone (but likely the mobs will have spawned). Just go up the stairs to the floor with The Archivist and toy willl be there.

I found The Necronom-i-nom on a bookshelf in the top room of the tower, where you find The Archivist.The initial spell (The Necronom-i-nom) can have these possible effects:
- The Necronom-i-nom - makes some of your jumps extra-high for 10 minutes You feel that the words are going to jump off the pages..
- The Necronom-i-nom - shrinks you to half size You feel as small as the words on the pages of the book..
- The Necronom-i-nom - turns you into a Skeletal Soldier You feel as old as the pages of the book..
For me that's the order they happened in, and seem to loop in sequence.
If you get this item, you may want to hunt up the Ritualist's Cache which contains Page 76 of the Necronom-i-nom and adds one more effect:
- The Necronom-i-nom - a 'screen effect' The world feels as plain as the pages of the book..

The buff from this toy that turns your character smaller does NOT stack with Noggenfogger's small buff. In other words, either buff won't make your character smaller if you already have the other buff.Comment by Mypciscraze
